Happy Healthy Holidays!
As we wrap up 2024, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for your support of Con Alma Health Foundation. We have made an impact in every county in our state through the support we have offered to over 50 grantees in 2024 to advance health equity.
Thirty organizations received funding through our Statewide Grants, and seven were awarded funding that focus on Northern Santa Fe County, Rio Ariba and Los Alamos County through the Northern NM Health Grants. We also instituted a Rural Health Community Grant that impacted 15 organizations in Southern and Northeastern NM.
All these organizations address critical areas including access, culturally appropriate services, evaluation/research, health promotion, policy and workforce development.
I am especially honored to have been able to highlight some of the work that has gone on around our state, including work at Zuni Youth Enrichment Project, Food Depot, Scott’s House, and Three Sisters Kitchen.
Think NM, a 2023 Multi Year Grant Recipient, made significant strides by releasing their findings on the doctor shortage in our state — an essential step toward addressing this critical issue. The advocacy work that they are doing speaks to the long-term change CAHF focuses on.
Amy, Cecile, Dennis and I wish you health, happiness, and prosperity in the coming year. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Sincerely,
Linda Candelaria
